Below are the steps to follow to set up a reader for RSS feeds..  If you have no idea what I am talking about, watch the following brief video which explains the value of RSS feeds and how to set them up.

Here's how to set up a reader to receive RSS feeds such as the NCC blogs.

1) Go to www.bloglines.com  (or another reader)

2) At Bloglines, click "Sign up now. It's free."

3) That will take you to the "Create an Account" page.  Fill in your e-mail address, enter a password (twice), select our timezone, and click "Register."

4) That will bring you to your newly set up Bloglines page.  I would suggest dragging the Bloglines icon in the address bar down onto your personal toolbar.  Then, anytime you want to check your feeds, you can just click on that button to go right to your page.  You can access these feeds from any computer anywhere.

5) Once your bloglines page is set up, you can begin adding feeds to it.  For example, if you want to add the NCC Sustainability blog to the feeds you receive, you could do one of two things:

a) Go to the blog at http://blogs.northcentralcollege.edu/sustainability/
b) Or, copy the above address to the sustainability blog.

Does that make sense?  If you have any trouble with any of this just give me a call.  This really is a very efficient way to receive updates from your favorite blogs and other sites.

Good luck,

Jon
