Coordinator of ACIT

Stephen Renk

The Coordinator of Academic Computing and Instructional Technology is appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as ombudsman for faculty academic technology issues. The coordinator works with the Assistant Vice President for Information Technology Services (ITS), the Director of Library Services to meet the technology teaching and research needs of the academic mission of the College.

"My role is to foster responsible adoption of technology to support the teaching and research mission of the faculty. We, as faculty, need to maintain a culture of exploration, evaluating new technologies for their potential to assist us in performing our jobs more effectively. Working in partnership with the administration, we will continually transform the College to meet the challenges of the future.”

ACIT Advisory Group


The ACIT technology advisory group is a collection of faculty members who provide input to the Coordinator of Academic Computing and Instructional Technology (ACIT) on issues related to campus academic technology. The current membership consist of the director of the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), one representative from each of the four divisions, and one at-large member of the faculty.
